How We Work

A Partnership- Driven Approach

The project will work in partnership with governments, Fire and Rescue Services, humanitarian organisations, manufacturers, corporate sponsors, charities and local community groups to identify areas of greatest need and provide professionally installed alarms free of charge. Every installation will be accompanied by practical home fire safety advice, ensuring families understand how to reduce fire risks, test their alarms, develop escape plans and respond safely in an emergency.

Building a Lasting Legacy

Beyond the installation of alarms, Project Fire Safety Africa aims to create lasting change by supporting the development of sustainable community fire prevention programmes, training local installers and volunteers, raising public awareness and providing governments with valuable data that can inform future fire safety policies and investment. By building local capability alongside the distribution of life-saving equipment, the project seeks to establish a legacy that continues to protect communities long after the initial programme has been completed.
